Whether your pickup has died through "old age" or you've been ham fisted and poked a screwdriver through the coil, we can repair over 95% of pickups.

They can be restored to original specifications, or over/under wound to change the tone. The Wizard carries out all repair work, so you can be sure of attention to detail and a sound (pun intended) repair.

Our service is used by a huge number of professionals, custom makers, luthiers, hobbyists, manufacturers and a huge number of retail shops; they all know that we provide a fast, reliable, accurate and value for money service.

Why value for money? Well our prices haven’t significantly changed for over nine years, a strat rewind (including potting) costs £30.00, and both coils of a humbucker around £40.00.

It is always best to speak with Andy on 01570 480099, before you send us your broken pickup, he’ll give you a price and discuss possibilities. Over the years Andy has recorded literally hundreds of pickup specifications enabling him to confidently repair pickups that others would baulk at.

All repairs are returned via Royal Mail Recorded Delivery as standard but other types of post and carriers can be used at cost.

We also offer a wax potting service - obviously the effectiveness of this process depends on how well the pickup was put together originally but we do get a marked improvement against microphonics in about 85% of all cases.

What else? Well! Want to coil tap your humbucker but only have two wires or braided cable, we can change braided to 4 wire plus shield cable for around £17.50.00 per pickup.

Got a PAF but want something warmer or richer, we can overwind to give you that little extra or we can completely change the tone of your pickup, and it would cost no more than a rewind just let us know what you want!
